This website is operated by Syd Thompson Customs. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Syd Thompson Customs. By visiting our site and/or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

We reserve the right to update, change, or replace any part of these Terms at any time.

2. Before You Order

Please review carefully before placing a custom order:


  • All custom items are hand-painted and one-of-a-kind.
  • Slight variations are normal and part of the artistic process.
  • Colors may vary slightly from digital mockups or screen displays.
  • Customers are responsible for selecting correct sizing.
  • Turnaround times are estimates and not guarantees.

Communication Policy

All project communication must occur through official channels (email or approved messaging platforms). Syd Thompson Customs is not responsible for missed instructions sent through unofficial channels.


By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.


3. Custom Order Deposit & Payment Policy

To begin the custom design process:


  • A non-refundable deposit is required before design work begins.
  • Design mockups will not be started until the deposit is received.
  • Once the design is approved, payment in full is required before painting begins.
  • Custom orders are scheduled only after deposit payment.


Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstance, including cancellation by the customer.


4. Turnaround Times

Custom Orders: 6–8 weeks from the date full payment is received.

Ready-to-Ship Items: 5–7 business days for processing.

Shipping transit time is separate from processing time.


5. All Sales Final – Custom Orders


Due to the personalized and made-to-order nature of our custom products:


All custom orders are final sale.

  • No refunds, returns, or exchanges are permitted.
  • Deposits are non-refundable.
  • Once painting begins, the order cannot be canceled.


6. Intellectual Property & Pop-Culture Disclaimer

 

All original artwork, branding, designs, logos, images, and content created by Syd Thompson Customs are protected by intellectual property laws and may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used without written permission.

Character & Brand-Inspired Designs

Syd Thompson Customs does not sell licensed merchandise.

 

If artwork is inspired by a character, logo, television show, movie, video game, brand, or other intellectual property:


  • The design is a one-of-a-kind artistic interpretation.
  • The customer purchases the physical product only.
  • No ownership rights to any trademark, logo, or copyrighted character are transferred.


All trademarks, logos, and characters remain the property of their respective owners.

Syd Thompson Customs is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any intellectual property holder.

We reserve the right to refuse any design request at our sole discretion.


7. Commercial Use Prohibition

 

 


All custom artwork and designs created by Syd Thompson Customs are sold for personal use only.

Customers may not:


  • Reproduce the artwork in any form
  • Digitally scan or recreate the design
  • Use the design for resale or commercial distribution
  • Use images of the artwork for business, branding, or merchandise purposes
  • Mass-produce or manufacture replicas


Commercial use of any design created by Syd Thompson Customs is strictly prohibited without express written consent.

 

Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use may result in legal action.

 

8. Minor & Product Safety Disclaimer


Many products may be worn by children; however:


  • All items are custom, hand-painted fashion pieces.
  • They are not toys.
  • They should be worn under normal conditions only.
  • Adult supervision is recommended for young children.
  • Items are not designed for heavy athletic use or rough play.


Syd Thompson Customs is not liable for injury, misuse, or damage resulting from improper wear or care.


9. Care Instructions


All items are hand-painted and sealed; however, proper care is required:


  • Do not machine wash.
  • Do not soak.
  • Spot clean gently with a damp cloth.
  • Avoid excessive friction.
  • Not recommended for extreme weather or heavy athletic wear.


Failure to follow care instructions may result in damage and void eligibility for repair consideration.


10. Shipping & Liability

Tracking information will be provided once shipped.

Syd Thompson Customs is not responsible for:


  • Carrier delays
  • Lost or stolen packages once marked delivered
  • Incorrect addresses provided at checkout


11. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by law, Syd Thompson Customs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website.


12. Design Approval & Client Sign-Off


For custom orders requiring mockups or digital previews:


  • A design proof will be provided after the non-refundable deposit is received.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to carefully review all details including colors, spelling, placement, sizing, and concept accuracy.
  • Written approval (via email or message confirmation) constitutes final acceptance of the design.


Once written approval is given:


  • No further changes may be requested.
  • Syd Thompson Customs is not responsible for dissatisfaction based on approved design elements.
  • Minor artistic variations may occur during the hand-painting process.


Failure to respond to a design proof within 7 days may result in automatic approval and production proceeding as scheduled.





13.  Chargeback & Payment Dispute Protection


By completing a purchase, the customer agrees to the policies outlined on this website.

 

Customers agree not to initiate fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes for:


  • Custom items
  • Approved designs
  • Items marked as delivered by the shipping carrier
  • Orders where policies were clearly stated prior to purchase


In the event of a chargeback or payment dispute:


  • All documentation, design approvals, policy acknowledgments, shipping confirmations, and communication records will be submitted to the payment processor.
  • Customers may be permanently restricted from future purchases.
  • Syd Thompson Customs reserves the right to pursue recovery of funds and associated fees where permitted by law.


Submitting a chargeback after agreeing to these Terms may be considered a violation of this agreement.


14.  Refusal of Service


Syd Thompson Customs reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at any time for any reason, including but not limited to:


  • Design requests that infringe on intellectual property
  • Offensive or inappropriate content
  • Harassment or abusive communication
  • Violation of store policies
  • Fraudulent activity or chargeback history


Deposits for refused designs that violate policy may be forfeited.


15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Syd Thompson Customs operates.
